/’ pɑzətɪv kɪtʃən/
- An uplifting kitchen experience; delicious meals, bread or dessert that you can share with friends and family with no excuses for strange textures or tastes, using recipes that work every time.
- A positive outlook at allergen-free eating; where the focus is on amazing foods that you can eat, not on the foods that have been eliminated.
We like to think of Positive Kitchen as a community. On this blog, you’ll primarily hear from three people: Shari, Erica and Paul. Here are some FAQs about us. If you want to know more, click on our names for our individual ‘about me’ pages!
How did Positive Kitchen start?
Shari has been a hobby baker for almost as long as she can remember, and a chemist by trade. When Paul found out he had food intolerances, Shari combined those strengths to create amazing allergen-free recipes. Even though friends & family often encouraged her to start a blog, it wasn’t until she met her daughter’s friend Erica, a travel blogger and a serial storyteller, that she took that idea seriously.
What foods are you excluding? Why these?
We post recipes without gluten, dairy, soy, egg or beef. These are the main foods that Paul needs to avoid to have a great food experience.
How do you know each other?
Shari is Paul’s mother. Erica is Shari’s daughter Julia’s friend from college.
When do you post? And why is it irregular?
We try to post on Tuesday mornings. Sometimes life gets in the way and we’re not able to post every week. Thanks for your patience on those weeks.
Is this your job?
We’re amateurs doing this for fun, to share these great recipes and to be a part of the great online community of allergen-free eaters & foodies. That means that sometimes we’re not able to dedicate as much time and resources into this as we’d ideally like, such as including nutrition facts and having professional sets for photos. Regardless, we’re proud of our content and we hope you like it too!
If I like a recipe, can I put it on my blog?
Totally, as long as you attribute it back to us. We’d love for you to let us know – either in the comments section of the post or on our Facebook page.
Where else can I find you?
But what about…
